Party like a rock star

Thanks to the likes of Hannah Montana the rockstar theme seems big with all the young girls. The kinds of clothes you can get in the stores are all about that! So for my niece's birthday we went on a shopping trip and did a photoshoot and this is some of what we came up with. Trouble as usual with the white balance at my favorite place to shoot...still working on that. All are existing light C/C and suggestions always welcomed!

Thanks for the kind words Andrew! It was 5:00 in the northeast and finding some open shade wasn't a problem.

Yikes! It has been pretty hot and HUMID here but the lighting is good anytime after 4pm. Just have suffer though but for us winter will be here before we know it.... ugh.. ugh. ugh..... I hate winter!

Wow, she is so lucky to have an aunt like you. This is a totally fun idea!

I'm not on my normal computer, so it could just be this monitor, but the skin looks a bit hot to me. I really do like them overall though. Why are you having white balance issues? Couldn't you just set it to custom white balance or shoot something white and white balance it in post?

All existing light at about 4:30 in the afternoon in the northeast. I have found that I can get away with alot at this time of the day and in this particular location. Lots of open shade and interesting architecture that will reflect some light back into the eyes getting some specular highlights that I really like in my photo's.

Late response here... I totally missed this post. I love the lighting!!! And I think the skin tones look great- nice and soft. I love #3 and below the best. I like the last of the rock star ones too. Great job!
