SERIOUS Count Issue

I seriously need an answer to this, and again the issue concerns counts. The last time I posted about this my thread concerned the change in the way SmugMug counted hits. I shifted entirely to GoogleAnalytics in my reporting to backers as I continue to lay the groundwork for what has become a very solid model for delivering online community news.
I have been reporting stats religiously internally (simply just to document growth, and less about the amount) and now, since this newest (NiceNames) upgrade, designed ironically to increase everyone's hits, the reporting system has become suspect (albeit only a few days old).
Again, I have some rudimentary data to raise a flag that something is amiss, like last time, only last time it took awhile for someone to confirm that there indeed been a change underway.
Here's My Concern:
One of the biggest areas I cover is community journalism, and when I cover community theater shows, I get a huge increase in activity. Actually, the more I post, the more I get with this model. I also have a growing email list and through this list I send notices of recent postings. Last month was my banner month; this year has already surpassed that.
This year, for example, I had near or more than 100 visits a day for practically every day of the month. For these days, PageViews are in the thousands, NOT THE HUNDREDS.
Here's some data (per GooglesAnaltyics), and please keep in mind that all I want is to be able to report consistently over time numbers that are apples-to-apples, not apples- to-oranges:
Please help me with this; all I need is consistency. I am in a wacky environment that depends on numbers to some extent and I have to show at least something consistent as I continue drudging toward official launching.
Thanks,
Linda
