Hi Guys,

Just wanting some opinions. As I am a BEGINNER, I need all the help I can get.

Shot this at sunrise, White Rock BC.
No colour changes on computer. Shot on my D700 wtih long exposure, on Vivid, A2.

#1 I straightened the dock, but that left the horizon a bit tilted.

#2 This one I straightened the horizon, but that leaves the dock a bit tilted.

Which image is more appealing?
Thanks for the help :)

the second one - the horizon is better straight and the dock does not look bad - your colors are good

Yea, the second one looks the best. Lovely image. Great color pallet displayed and a nice reflection.

Great shot! I can only see #2, but when in doubt, I always go with a straight horizon.

I don't see any horizon-related problems with #2 (and #1 is no-show for me at the moment), but just in case - Free Transform tool is your friend! deal.gif

Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap but memories are priceless.

Agree with the others that the horizon needs to be straight. However, whilst I also agree the colours are great, I'm personally not a fan of the 'head on' approach when it comes to lead in lines such as piers and paths, etc. It's what everybody does and whilst that's because it does work, it's good to see somebody break away from 'the norm' and take a more original approach once in a while.
