which version
Hi you'll,
I've been pretty busy lately sos I haven't been able to shoot much lately. Since i have fewer shots to process I've been playing with them more than my norm. Which version floats your boat or should I sink both of them?

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I'm tempted to say #1.... But, I really like the treatment for #2 and it's different...

I would keep working with the shapes, just because you have so many good shots to do it with, and "design" makes the object unique, IMHO.
Also, you certainly do have the lens, along with the skill, to get the clarity you need for this stuff. I love the colors and sharpness of the first rendition of your photograph.

Hey Harry - are egret or heron ever hunted?
Moderator of: Location, Location, Location , Mind Your Own Business & Other Cool Shots
In the past many of these birds, don't know which ones were hunted practically to extinction, but the ones you are seeing have come back.
The ones you are not seeing, they have not come back, or only in slight numbers.
I think the one on my challenge photo, the Snowy Egret was endangered for awhile, I am not sure about that.
Good gosh, that woke me up.
(I do feel like a modern hunter with my camera.)
Also, you don't have to hunt them to kill them, just take away their habitats, replace them with developments, cities, roads, etc..........
That is one reason for all these protected places where they are safe from encroachment.

I really, really like this shot - the wonderful dof/seperation from background, the sharpness of the bird, the unusual position, the diagonal composition of the shot, and the great color of the background. It is painting like.
Great work (I can't wait to retire, so I can get at good at this as you are!)
