Depoe Bay, Saturday 08/22/09, this is the "worlds smallest harbor", or so the town claims.

What a beautiful palette of colors! The orange, pink, and purple hues in the first shot really speak to the soul. Great job! clap.gif

My preference is also for the first shot, the colours are wonderful and, for me anyway, give a sense of isolation (in a good way).

I agree with comments about #1--lovely colors in the sky. I also like #3, both the panoramic view and the sun and its rays. Where is this harbor?

Thanks Lauren, and everybody for the nice comments. I think that #1 and the pano will go into the portfolio - the feedback helps and I appreciate it.

Lauren, this harbor is on the Oregon Coast, south of Lincoln City, North of Newport. Depoe Bay is a very small coastal town, but makes its way by whale watching tours that the small fishing boats do daily, they also have a great clam chowder restaurant called the Sea Hag - along with your various beach front junk stores.

    Cheers,

    Lee

Thanks for the info, Lee. Oregon is one of the 4 or 5 states I have never been to, even though I lived in Idaho twice! I have seen so many wonderful shots on SmugMug and DGrin so I must visit someday!

#1 for me also!! The colors reflected on the water are spectacular!! So many different shades.
