Abandon Buildings

What is the best way to find out about any abandon buildings?

Keep your eyes peeled, be careful, get in your car and drive, etc.

Very few folks who do this will come out and openly give you advice. Due to the nature of the subject, it's risky and illegal, so just use common sense.

I saw some photos someone took, which there are alot in flickr.....
i wouldn't do anything like trespass... i most likely would contact someone, to see if it was okay.... sign a wavier..etc...

I feel that if we don't take photos, then the history of that location would be lost. No memories, no meaning, no life...

I practically live in Abandoned Buildings. My best suggestion; Don't ever be afraid to ask the owner. You would be SHOCKED how many of them are into people taking photos.

Fantastic site you have! I don't see that many abandonment photographers from Alaska, that's for sure.

I asked a similar question some time ago and got a lot of backlash for it. Personally, I do go out looking but not as often as I would like. I also geocache which has helped in finding ruins and abandoned places. (www.geocache.com - it is so much fun!) Be careful, be aware of your surroundings and research. You can find lots of info online and go from there.
