This old cement factory in Lime Oregon very much looked
as though some serious ordinance hit the place. Fairly dangerous
place to walk around and I was constantly checking my path for deep holes.

    An interesting place indeed.

I'm particularly drawn to the last image. I like the framing & love the shadow the stack on the right is casting into the sky itself.

    Good job thumb.gif

Sweet. Ditto on #7, that's a mighty strong shadow.

Sure does look like a war zone! I have to join the others with regard to #7 clap.gifclap.gif Don't think I've ever seen a shadow like that.

I have driven by there at least a dozen times and thought hey that would be a neat place to take some pictures

Now someone beat me to it :)

    Nice shots

BTW – I think either across the freeway there or down the road a short distance there is an old mine as well that I thought would be a neat place to snap some photos.

Nice comment Randy. Thanks. You'd get a kick out of shooting that location.

:D Thanks Andrew. Must have been the harsh lighting that gave the pic
    a chance.

I agree with the others -- #7's shadow really adds to the photo thumb.gif

What an interesting place to photograph -- I'm sure you had to be careful walking around there.

Appreciate your thoughts Azzaro. Actually did closer shots of the 3 wall
and other graffiti at the location. Was hard to do the artwork justice so I
pretty much just took straight on shots and let it go at that.

Thanks Jack. :D The place is really torn up and quite the hazard to
walk about. War zone easily comes to mind. .

Rest assured that I'm fairly please with that shadow too. Probably my
    top pic of that day.

    Michael,

Nice shooting. I'll also say that #7 is the pick of the litter....but all are interesting. That's definitely a place to watch your step.

    Take care,

    Tom
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

rolleyes1.gifStop just driving by. Hit the exit and get some shots. You can be sure
many others have stopped for some pics. I'd like to go back and try for
better. Was working with really bright daylight and not enough gear
or was it the talent I left at home? :D

I've driven past this place so many times I can definately recall when it
was an operational plant. Only snapped a couple of quick pics of the new
facility which would be neat to catch in the right light.

Not sure of the mine you mention. East or west of lime?

Thanks Mary Kim. :D 7 is clearly the winner in this set.

I skipped many photos ops on account of the hazard
level. The penalty for error was a little too high.

Nice of you to say Tom. :D Appreciate that. On first edit I didn't think I did
so well that day and was a little annoyed with my effort. On top of that I
was test driving out a new polarizer which was giving me grief. Trouble
dialing in correct exposure. Will use for a skeet next time I go out. So
    important to buy good glass.
