A friend of mine and I are going to get together in Harrisburg to do some portraits of him. I am driving through there in a month, and wanted a location that had good architectural interest/great backdrops for some photos. Any suggestions?

The state capitol bldg is said to be one of the most if not the most ornate in the nation. I chaperoned a school trip there probably 10 yrs ago and I was amazed. It was also free and we roamed the bldg on our own. The murals in the court rooms are beautiful. That was before I was sucked into photography so I have no images to share with you.

    Have fun,

    Steve

Thanks Steve! I appreciate the feedback. Now I just have to set a date with my friend. Any other suggestions?

lancaster is not far from there. Great place to photograph the Amish and the farmland/barns too.

Perhaps too late, but depending on your bent, Gettysburg is just to the south on 15. There used to be a great old tavern (Springhouse Tavern) on 15 before you get there.
