Here are the remaining images from my last trip up to Mt. Rainier with Ron.

#1: Sunrise after our crazy rush to find a good location to shoot from.

#2: Mt. St. Helens can be seen in the distance.

#3: A tarn we found along the way. This is the first black and white conversion that I've done in a really long time. Does it look okay?

#4: The Tatoosh range at sunset.

Lots of color to take in - fantastic! I think I like the first one most but that black and white is a fave of mine too!

Danny, great shots as per ussual! thumb.gif

I'm not expert at B&W conversions, but the tarn looks pretty tarn good to me! (sorry... I couldn't help myself!:D )

The colors you've captured and the sheer number of flowers still left up there is a welcome distraction from the general dried out brown I get to see around here this time of year!

    Danny,

All are beautiful images but this one IMHO is a very good composition.

The trail is placed in such a natural position. It's inviting you to put on your pack and step in for a hike.

This lead-in takes you to the tree noll, where they point your eyes to the mountain peaks above. These gently guide your eyes to the distant mountain peaks.

All these elements give very good depth to the image also.

    Good job thumb.gif

The meadow flowers are to die for. Good to see a reference to a tarn as I did not know it was a term used across the Atlantic.

The first two are simply magical--lovely colors and composition. I never tire of your work, Danny.

It's good to know that the black and white works. I'm way out of practice!

No need to apologize for the pun. :D
The wildflowers were sure nice and I'm glad I got a chance to photograph them. This was my first year heading up there for that purpose and I wasn't disappointed.

After photographing Rainier during the sunrise I was waiting around while Ron got some final shots when I noticed this scene. The trail looked like it would be a perfect leading line and the light was looking good on the rim of Mt. St. Helens. Thanks for the comment!

    You suck.

    At taking bad photos.

Nice series as usual! Too bad the wildflowers don't bloom longer.

Absolutely stunning! I haven't tried black and white conversions yet, but have had requests so I need to learn how. Your result is certainly one that made me go Wow! Thanks for sharing these thumb.gif
