First time out with a couple

So in an attempt to get practice with my camera, I asked my little cousin and his girlfriend to smile for the camera at a local metro park... Thoughts on these pictures?

Yay KP! Welcome to Dgrin.

KP and I know each other in real life (from college... and we both still live in Valpo) she's actually going to be second shooting for me in a couple weeks now that she's got her new digital body So welcome her warmly to our little community, I recently dragged her to the Chicago SMUG last month, and now she's on Smugmug and Dgrin! Another convert, woohoo!

I'll start off some of the critiquing for you

#1 I wish I could see her eye, be careful with hair falling and covering eyes

#2 is a little blown, might want to turn it down a notch. the background is also very lacking in color, maybe pushing the black level up a bit might help

#3,4,5 are a bit dark, need to lighten them up a touch

That being said, I realllly like #3

#6 - very fun! I just wish we didn't lose his hand, other than that, fun times!

#7 could use a touch of contrast... next time try to go for a shallower depth of field, your background and subjects are both very much in focus

I made a few of the changes in lightroom and I definitely see what you're talking about... I haven't gotten the new ones uploaded yet. Thanks for the thoughts! I can't wait to shoot the engagement/wedding with you in a few weeks!!!
