Only show some photos of a gallery

Hi there:

I would like to show some photos of a SmugMug gallery to another person. I do not want this person to view all photos in the gallery, only some of them.

I know that SmugMug has a "hide" function. But you have to hide each photo individually. Too tedious if you have several hundreds of them.

I also thought about copying some photos to a new gallery without viewing restrictions. But SmugMug only allows to move photos to other galleries. I could not find a way to make a copy for access from another gallery, without the original picture being removed from the source gallery.

Any thoughts?

Greetings.
Marc

The simplest option is to just re-upload the ones you want to show them to another gallery because Smugmug does not provide an easy way to copy a whole bunch of images to a new gallery.

For a wild diea, if the photos are in a public gallery, how about you just assign a keyword to the ones you want to show them (you can use bulk keywording) and then just do a keyword query to create a "virtual gallery" of the ones you want to show them. It will behave just like a real gallery, but just have a different link.

    Here's a keyword query example: http://jfriend.smugmug.com/keyword/bestkenya.
