Don't Look at the Writing Spider!

I took this shot of an Argiope Arantia yesterday.
Around these parts (the hills of Tennessee) they are called "writing spiders."
Legend has it that if you look at these spiders they'll write your name in their web and you will die.
So this is as good as I could do, shielding my eyes and all.
This was taken with a 400mm lens and a 1.4x along with a small (20mm) extension tube,
so I don't know if it qualifies as a true macro shot.
But since he was hanging out over a creek that's what I had to use.
Mama said, "Do what you can with what ya got."
