Take II - Dragonfly

This little fella must have known I needed more practice with the new lens as he was more than happy to pose. I feel though I did not do him justice .. but i'm learning.

All were shot with my 50mm between f2.8 - f11 with various ev(-+) - lighting was with on board flash and a garage droplight (all i have to work with for now).

    Interesting captures - actually rather like #6.
    It's an ant lion adult I think not a dragonfly. I'd play some more with the lighting - when using flash try playing with the FEC - normally need upto +1 or higher when shooting against a pale background.

    Thanks Brian - I thought it didn't look like the 'normal' dragonfly i'm accustomed to seeing around here. Thanks for the clarification, I hope to get a SB600 this week for off camera use, i'll try that as well as bumping up the FEC.
