Hi,

I'm having a problem with posting a link to a slideshow to facebook. The problem is that the link looks like an ad for SmugMug instead of a link to my gallery. I can't seem to find any way to control this. Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this problem. Here's what it looks like:

And here's the link to the slide show:

Thanks in advance!

Peter

How are you doing this? I always start from the Facebook Links page. After you paste the link and click Post, you get the preview, here's the trick: Most of is it editable, it is just not obvious from the UI. But if you click on the bold headline (before you confirm the post!), you can edit it. If you click on the paragraph description, you should edit that too. It should also give you a choice of thumbnails.

My frustration is that the thumbnails and sizes available seem to be constrained by what kind of gallery format you applied. I wish there was a way to always get a thumbnail as big as if you were posting from a Facebook photo gallery, and I also wish there was a way to have access to every thumbnail in a gallery because the number seems to depend on the style, once again. Sometimes I would like to include the 37th thumbnail, but since it isn't on the first page, its thumbnail is not available. And I could well be wrong here, but I have been avoiding Smugmug's own Share link because it doesn't seem to improve on these link customization issues. Last time I tried Smugmug share to Facebook, it looked like there were far fewer customization options than a manual link post via Facebook.
