Hello everybody,
I have been hired by the Groom's family to come to his house before the wedding to shoot some formal shots as well as some candid shots of everybody getting ready. I have no problem shooting formal shots, I do this all the time. Can a few of you give me some creative ideas as to what else I could shoot at the groom's house? Thank you!!

Sure.....and I'm not being rude.....but just browse the forums. There's tons of ideas here from alot of great shooters. DOn't treat them any different than you would a bride getting ready. There will be ties....tied. Cufflinks....linked. Drinks.....drank. You just have to be ready for anything....or else it wouldn't be candid. I use people and objects to break up otherwise boring shots. Shoot over a shoulder and blur the shoulder. Shoot through a doorway and blur the doorway. Focus on a MUG/GLASS as drinks are being poured. I could go on and on.....but you get the idea. thumb.gif

Hmmm, I would say RINGS (if they are at his place), then maybe some detail shots of his shoes and the tie / him putting on or adjusting his tie / somebody helping him with the boutonniere / him putting on his cufflings?

A nice shots would be having the guys have a last toast.

Hm, the guys usually don't care to have their pics taken (haha), so it needs to be something low-effort (for them), and "cool" looking. Maybe a shot were they wear their sunglasses and walk down the street? ne_nau.gif Depending on how their car / limo looks you could do something with the car too. thumb.gif

    Have fun!! iloveyou.gif
