Hello All,

I need some serious CC on these.

I was at a large gathering and a family asked me to do a quick family photo for them, I said sure. The sky was very bright, No flash. These were shot with an XTi and a 70-200mm F2.8 in your interested.

ALL CC is welcomed please! But I am looking for some specific CC on color. SOOC, the colors are a bit drab, but i'm not sure if I should be amping up the blues or not to bring out the water. I can post the SOOC raw conversions if necessary.

Here they are:

1) I am a bit upset that I cut the toes here.

Thanks for looking, I appreciate your time and input. Please don't hold back, I want to hear it all. :)

I think these are very good for a short-notice opportunity!

My favorite is #4, I love the emotions. #1 & 3 are good.

#2, I don't like the space, for a family portrait, I wanna see closeness and bonding. Just my 2 cents, but I see where you were going with the diagonal line.

As for color, it seems the white shirts are turning blue, which isn't helping your contrast in these shots. But i'm not a color expert, so, i'll let someone else do a more thorough color C&C.

Agreed, great capture! I like 1 as well but they are all squinting from facing the sun.

    like one and four...

colors do seem a bit blue. i would probably correct by warming up the picture a little bit. you can definitely use the blue shirts as a gauge.

for shot #4, i might turn down some of the highlights. seems a bit bright.

Love #4! But I agree it it a little bright. As most of them seem.. Try bringing it down a bit and adding some clarity and warm it up a bit? But fun shot! I am a fan of "stacking" families like you did there. I don't ever put them in a straight line. I like , like was said in another post, to see some closeness. Just my 1cent. Great job on short notice though!

Thanks for the CC folks. Looking at it now, I do completely understand about the closeness. I will keep that in mind for all future shoots. Also, will try and warm them a bit, and bring blues down a bit.

    Thanks again!!
