Venturing into portraits

I would like to put some effort into capturing people. People present different challenges than say landscape or product.

I friend stopped by yesterday and we did a spur of the moment photo shoot.

Looks like you both had fun!! I like that third one - she has a pretty smile, and the pose is nice too. I would have liked to have seen more of the gramophone in that first one, as it is right now, it took me a bit to figure out what it was. It would have been nice to see her actually putting a record on it maybe. I agree about people posing (pun not intended) different challenges - but it's fun to work through them, as long as you have enthusiastic (and patient) models!!
