    Bad hair day.

All shots from the little mini-zoo at Grandfather Mountian in (on or about) Linville, NC. The eagles were wounded by gunshot, and were unable to fly. It was very disturbing to consider the individual who would do such a thing to a bird so magestic. :cry

For a newbie at wildlife, your eagle shots are great thumb.gif

Thanks. Now, to be fair, they were on the ground and very used to people. The head shot is full frame, no crop, at 300mm. I wasn't 10 or 15 feet away. :D (cheating....mwink.gif)

It doesn't matter. While getting that actual in the wild shot would be fantastic, getting a perfectly exposed, sharp pic of an animal that either is closer than anyone can usually get, even in a zoo, or shows some personality or a different angle makes for a good pic.

It ain't cheating either. It's called getting the most out of your equipment.:D
