Aha, finally we see the other side. I agree it lost some detail in the middle, but sill very nice. You have a unique style in all of your photos. Thanks for sharing.
I don't display my mug very often, just goofing off this morning. cc appreciated. thanks
Pretty lady! I was just asking about self portrait from you in a different thread. The highlights don;t really bother me but the difference in shirt color from left to right does..heh.
What others said about it being hot in the middle, but that's not the first thing I saw. I saw an authentic look in the face of a genuine photographer and pretty girl, composed to the left in the shot just perfectly. Nice job.
Awww thanks everyone for the comments! I'm very flattered I took like 50 just to get one I was halfway satisfied with. I like being behind the camera better
Agreed on the highlights being a bit much, I think i'll go back and play with it. But I do think it works with the processing, which is why I left it but maybe just needs to toned down a tad.
VayCayMom- wow I have a unique style? How exciting! thank you!
Flutist- That is very sweet, thank you.
Qarik-How funny I just went back and saw that! I noticed the shirt thing too. I think it's a combination of being too bright from the window light on one side and then the slight vignetting in processing on the other. I was trying to hide as much as possible of the distracting background. worked against me a little. I'll go back and fix it.

It normally takes me hundreds of attempts to get one image that's recoverable. I couldn't imagine how many it would take for me to pull off an SP as nicely as you have done.
When I first opened the thread, I thought it was a still from a Leann Rimes video lol. But I like it, regardless of the hot light. Maybe dodge a hint under the nostril so it doesn't keep pulling my eye, but I like the vibe

Also, I definitely always stay behind the lens.
thank you. I always thought i was crazy for taking tons of shots just to get one I like. Guess it's not out of the norm.

Ha funny you mention that, I've always been told I look like Leanne! Also Angie Dickinson? Hopefully they meant when she was younger...
HI Lilmomma,
I just found Qarik's Odyssey thread and your comment. It's wonderful to see a face with the image I have of a woman driving her Civic til nearly 200K miles.
I will eventually plunge into SP so I'm curious, did you use your camera timer or a off camera remote?

Very nice smile btw, you are a very pretty lady.
that's me I LOVED that car!
thank you for the compliment! Not too long after I bought my first dslr I bought a cheapie remote off ebay

like this one

. that's all I used, with the camera on a tripod, my face pointing somewhat to the window. It was my first time trying it, wasn't as bad as I thought. Good luck, can't wait to see yours!
