not easy to get close to eagles in Ohio

Here in Ohio the eagles are still considered somewhat rare, I have worked for several years to capture a sharp {meaning close } shot of an Eagle not just setting on a limb. I got this one while on a pontoon boat using a monopod with a ball and cup , I like the way he was coming at me in the light.

    Nice catch!:D

    Try spot metering for shots like that with a dark BG and the bird in the light. You'll get a better exposure.

    Thanks I'll try to remember that ,it's hard to think that fast when you suddenly see an eagle. lol
