Upload timeouts with LR2->Smugmug plugin

Hey all,

Using Jeffrey Friedl's LR2 plugin to export to smugmug and man oh man - timeouts galore!!!

Thing is each time it times out it's actually uploaded successfully so if say 1 photo times out 8 times i get 8 copies of the photo in the gallery!

This is driving me NUTS as I'm trying to upload 461 photos an it's been going for hours now and i'm only up to number 93 and it's giving me an ETA of another 12 hours or more to do the next 380 approx. photos.

Grrrr.... frustrating :dunno

Anyone got any updates - thinking maybe it's a repeat of last nights issue???

Not sure right now if we can do anything of if Jeffrey can. I've asked Devbobo to stay on top of it and report back as he has news.

I also have an email into the Lightroom plugin developer to see if it is somehow related to upgrading the OS to Snow Leopard. I contacted him last night and he was experiencing time out issues just trying to test things.

HOWEVER, I am also reading posts from Windows users that are also having problems uploading pics - so it doesn't appear to be just one issue - meaning the Lightroom plugin may be having issues but it also appears some SmugMug servers must also be having issues if non-Lightroom and non-Mac users are also experiencing trouble.

I have noticed this morning that it is taking an extra long time for image galleries to open. Seems like a lot of slowness in general.

Definitely not just a LR issue. I have tried the standard windows upload, the bulletproof, Firefox and IE 7&8 and get the same error messages over and over.

Definitely not just a Snow Leopard issue - I have Mac OS 10.5.8 and have been having Lightroom plugin timeout issues for weeks. I upgraded to the latest plugin version this morning and still cannot upload; very frustrating...

timeouts from Aperture plugin as well
I am getting stalled and timed out uploads from the Aperture plugin as well...seems not to be isolated to LR

Jeffrey is aware of it and it's been reported on multiple differen OS's and versions thereof and it's not the plugin or LR or the OS or the computer

he does mention, with my issue of multiple uploads of the same image that:

Today’s issue seems that they accept the image for upload, but cut the connection short before telling the plugin of the success.
