so I will take them darn it. Maybe we could have a flower fest! In this heat, here, don't know what is actually moving. And more people photograph flowers than they do birds.

These were all taken at Magnolia Gardens: I will start with a, what else, a Magnolia. These were all taken the same evening, before going to shoot the birds.

Let us all show our flowers that we have, backyard, roadside, middle of the road and wilderness.................................. all summer. Not much work there, but many different ways to show a flower (s).

Those are fantastic, Andy, Ann and Annabella. That IS spanish moss, Ann. It has come back nicely since the hurricane in 1989. I love it in my bird photos.

I am not a born and bred southerner, never saw the low country until I was in my late 30s, so I am just awed at the spanish moss, love it!

Thanks for adding your photos. Lovely!

MORE and MORE would be fine! Smile.

    I took this one yesterday.

They are all gorgeous, and I love your butterfly, Andy!

I took these at the Bowen Island beer bash w music, yesterday late afternoon.
No, I did not stay for the fireworks...........rain, drunken college kids, couldn't work my camera after dark (have to work on that), etc. But I did take some photos, and I always think of flowers for this thread whenever I am out with my camera.

    ginger (have a good one)

And, finally, I saw a heron. As usual he did not move, but I thought the flowers were a nice accent piece.

I am in no league with you guys.
Those shots are all incredible. The color alone is so vibrant in all the shots. And I love the one with butterfly and the Spanish moss! Wait I also love Sheila's! Anyhow, let's see if I have any.

Here are two tulips from our garden that I took with my old point and shoot in the spring. I need to take a trip to the Texas Hill Country next spring!

    Irises
Ginger I love your magnolia. It's tack sharp and the light is just beautiful. It's just gorgeous.

Here's some Irises for you all.

    And a close up...
    27248798-L.jpg

    And a rockrose.
I love the way this looks as if it's made of tissue paper with its creases. It was fully open and then when I went back later this afternoon it was gone. The petals had all fallen. The flowers don't last very long and they are so fragile looking.
