Too much blue?

Hello again everyone. I have another question on composition and finishing.
I have uploaded two different versions of the same shot I would like to share.
I like the extra blue saturation in the one shot, but I wonder if it is too much?

Also, I hate that I clipped the top of the rock in the upper left. My eye seems to
be drawn up there when I look at this. Does it kill the shot for you too? I loved
the subtle color in the sky that night, but screwed up and didn't check my shots
before I left. :(

Here are the two shots:

The versions are right next to each other in my gallery so you can click
between the two (last two in the gallery):

Thanks for your time,

Hi Greg, these are lovely! I kind of like the blue, although I think by looking at the second shot that b/w would look nice, too. Tough choice. :D

If you want to embed image into your posts, we have tutorial for that. I hope this helps!

Nice tutorial. I can totally see a B&W version too, great idea.

Let me try the embed thing here:

They are beautiful. I'm no expert and i am sure the experts will give you sound advice. I know what i like though.... i like the blue in color and the non blue in a black and white! :D

Here is the B&W version. I do like it, not sure which I like better yet.

And here is a different framing of the shot.

I do like them both! The b/w really brings out the textures in the water but the colors and the light are so nice the second. I think at this point it's just a matter of personal preference thumb.gif
