Subdomain links broken using NiceNames in IE

I have a pro account using a custom domain name. If I use my own domain, linking to any photo works fine, such as this second photo in the gallery: http://www.steamphotos.com/Railroad-Photos/SP-Daylight-4449-Photos/8929955_3qbAp#593159112_z92VF

However, if I use the smugmug subdomain, the link takes me to the first photo in the gallery rather than the specified photo, such as this attempt to again link to the second photo: http://steamphotos.smugmug.com/Railroad-Photos/SP-Daylight-4449-Photos/8929955_3qbAp#593159112_z92VF

Note that if I use the pre-NiceNames URL with the subdomain, it still works fine, such as: http://steamphotos.smugmug.com/gallery/8929955_3qbAp#593159112_z92VF

The issue seems to be with IE only. Firefox handles it fine.

This is easy enough to avoid, but I'm reporting the issue because it causes other functions to break. For example, the Pro Sales order review has a thumbnail of each photo ordered, but clicking each photo takes me to the first photo of the respective gallery instead of the actual photo ordered.

Thanks,
Chris

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for the thorough report. I've put our Bug Hunter on the case and we'll get this fixed for you.

Sorry for the trouble in the meantime!

    Related Issue - Google Analytics?
Anne, I don't know if this is related, but when using Google Analytics I use to be able to select Top Content and then hit the arrow by each line item and it would take me to the specific page/photo. The embedded link still looks like it points to the photo, but now I always get taken to the first page of the gallery via Googles shortcut code. I don't know if it's the length of the URL and Google is truncating or something else.

Running Mac OS 10.5.x and Safari.

    Thanks...
