My camera and I attended our first-ever fashion show during Gainesville Fashion Week on Tuesday night:

I think I'm leaning toward #1 and #2, though the more I look at #3 and #4, the more I like them.

I like #2. Just wish there was a little light on the mirror ball.

#2 & #3 are the strongest images of the lot, IMO. I really like the tilt you used. #3 is my fave. I like how the model is essentially in focus and how the men oogling her have the motion blur from you moving the camera. thumb.gif

Throwing in my vote for #2 as well. It's the most pleasing composition for me :)

Thanks, guys. I like #2 a lot as well, but I'm not sure it conveys "movement" as strongly as some of the others... Do you think it works well for the theme?

I really like the perspective and composition in #2 but I agree that it doesn't convey movement so much.

    A vote for #4 here - I like the flicking ponytail :)

My vote is for # 3.
I like # 2--but you don't really get that she's in a fashion show, you just get a sense of motion but I don't know why, is she just walking around in a tux shirt?

    # 3, you get it's a fashion show, you get she's strutting her stuff and you get the motion. The only nit is that it's a funny angle--doesn't bother me any, actually I like it, but I'm not judging, so just sayin.

Thanks for the feedback, guys... I'm going to go with 3 or 4.

    A couple comments:
#1 - even though there's not much motion in the shot, my eye moves around the image a lot and it in some ways is almost like a sense of vertigo. just a really interesting and different sense of motion in that one for me.
#2 - the outfit was being shown on the catwalk, so that was a model doing her thing,
#3 - oggling? Oh, I can show you pics of some oggling :) and the tilt was intentional.
#4 - I saw her coming down the catwalk and made a point of catching her turning because I just knew that ponytail would do that big flick... and it worked!

Thanks again everyone for your input! Greatly appreciated :)
