OK, for those who were waiting, here are a few shots from my trip to Puerto Rico. I am still processing but thought I would post a few to get your reactions. I have started a gallery also, if you are interested in looking at more as they are added: http://www.redleashphoto.com/Places/Puerto-Rico/

Please tell me if any of these qualify as Portfolio shots. I only have a couple in my port and want to build it up, but only if the quality is there.

Thanks,
Lauren

1. This is the first one I posted, in case I receive any new visitors to this thread. :D

4. I liked the lines in this one when I first saw the scene. Does it work?

5. El Yunque Rainforest - This shot really improved with the PP.

    Hey Lauren,

My choices for portfolio quality are #1 & #3. Strong images.

I haven't looked at your gallery shots as of this writing, but I'll add that your compositions are getting much stronger. Good use of leading lines & subject placement.

    Hi Lauren
I feel like Randy, the first and third are the best of the set..... I have never shot pictures of the ocean, but without a defined center of interest, it seems difficult to do........ azzaro

I'm just going to comment on my favorites as I'm not knowledgeable in Portfolio photos.

#3 has me kickin' back enjoying the sun listening to the waves while #2 has me walking barefoot in the water and sand. I just love the ocean and would of been in 7th heaven there.

Very good photos Lauren thumb.gif I'm off to look at your gallery.....

Thanks, Azzaro and Mary! I liked the ocean shots because of the lines and the gradations of color. But they would have been better with a subject in them--like a lighthouse or another island. Maybe they are better treated as abstracts. I'm glad you liked #1 and #3--they are getting good reviews all around.

Mary, enjoy your vicarious day at the beach! :D
