focus out on all except last frame :cry . now you realise how little dof there is and how critical "eye" focus is.

I still have this blurry image of how people exactly shoot bees and flies this closely? if you're getting that close to the subject, wont it fly away?

It is great lens with 5x macro .

focus looks off in others still, try shooting a few frames quickly moving slightly foreward as you fire then, should then get atleast 1 with eye focus

I place the flash horisontal and have added some kitchen roll in the diffuser, thats all. Here are some shots from today
Hey urte..i was in the market.for a 300mmf4 came across this lens the true macro..yesterday ...snatched it up..after loking at the macro shots i think i will luv this lens ...but is the any ring lights or a flash i should get ..for this lens

a standard flash gun works well.just need to diffuse light to soften due to very short working distance
