I were out today, just like starting all over again x5 is a no go....think I need a monopod a,d my ring Flash sometomes get in the way.....I love it

a good try:D diffusion looks quite good

focus out on all except last frame :cry . now you realise how little dof there is and how critical "eye" focus is.

The 1st picture you posted (of your finger) shows the magnificence of this lens, and the others are just beautiful

I still have this blurry image of how people exactly shoot bees and flies this closely? if you're getting that close to the subject, wont it fly away?

sometimes it stays, I allways take the camera up when aproaching, so its not my face but the lens they see.

I went to buy Canon but endup buying Nikon. Now since i bought my camera i really regret that there is no macro lens from Nikon equivalent to MPE65.
It is great lens with 5x macro .

#2 looks good, light picking up the hairs nicely

focus looks off in others still, try shooting a few frames quickly moving slightly foreward as you fire then, should then get atleast 1 with eye focus

I try but they are very active in the afternoon, I ordered a monopod and hope it will help. I will get there in the end

I started with my Canon ringflash but it got in thw way again and again, so i bought this bracke

I place the flash horisontal and have added some kitchen roll in the diffuser, thats all. Here are some shots from today

Macro mpe lens
Hey urte..i was in the market.for a 300mmf4 came across this lens the true macro..yesterday ...snatched it up..after loking at the macro shots i think i will luv this lens ...but is the any ring lights or a flash i should get ..for this lens

eddy- ring lights dont work with mpe- focus distance too short,
a standard flash gun works well.just need to diffuse light to soften due to very short working distance

remember to buy a tripod or monopod if you exeed 2x......its not easy
