Popped over to York (UK) yesterday.. took a bunch of shots which I have yet to process but I had a quick go at one here.

I tried in vain to reduce the blown out windows to the right but it proved a bit too difficult :(

The 2.5 second exposure has provided me with the ghostly figure. Can you see it? :)

What a great shot - right out of one of the old horror movies. Where's Lon Chaney and Basil Rathbone? I would definitely like to see more. I think I see the figure in the street to the right?

    hehe, Cheers Barry :)

The figure is certainly to the right of the image just ahead on the road (not the little side street).

Here's a right hand side crop and also a light balancing adjustment (The figure is a touch more central in this one)
I'm hoping to process some more this evening.

    Great b&w and contrast.
Reminds me of scenery from "Scrooge".

I see the ghost of Christmas past in the middle.

Very nice street scene despite the bit over bright in the Little Shambles shop.

Love the way the 2nd story to left seems to be tilting towards the middle. :D

Think I see your ghost in mid street. Then perhaps yet another at start of
    side street.

    Cheers DaddyO :)

The buildings in the street ARE actually tilting towards one another. It's a very unusual sight. :)

Nice to read that short article. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing it. thumb.gif
    What rich history.

Then there was the part about Margaret Clitherow....
condemned her to death by pressing (crushing beneath a heavy weight).
    How nice of them. eek7.gif

hehe, English History is cruel and bloody. Our methods of torture are legendary if somewhat barbaric. ;)
