Well I apologize, I don't have the energy to sit and write a decent story, but I wanted to at least post up some pics from last Saturday's climbing trip to Ravine Lake. We had a blast, and have been plenty busy since then too! :D

A little editing made this one into something I'm fairly happy with!

Hope reaches for a hold, almost to the anchors on a 5.7.

Amos stands on itty bitty holds with Ravine Lake far below.

Kelsey nears the top of a new route he just put up near the ones we were climbing.

Fall colors cascade down to the lake below Johanna as she nears the anchors.

So that's some highlights anyway. Hope you all enjoy, and next time I'll try to throw in some story to add to the adventure. :D

    Hey John wave.gif

Man. Looks like summer is coming to an end with all the fall colors. I like the setting. The lake is nice, nice color and what looks like some good fun.

Chrissiebeez_NL: Thanks! And yeah, actually this trip was a first climbing trip for a number of people from my church, and the ladies don't wear pants, so they make it work in skirts. In fact this is really nothing for some of these girls, several of these are friends visiting from Canada who have made skirts specifically for skydiving, and put them to good use! :D

Ian: Thanks! Yeah it's about time to start waking up to frosty ground, and snow is only a few weeks away.

Cool set of photos! I love the wide angle stuff, really tells the story. The fall colors look great(if a smidgen over-saturated).

    Thanks for sharing!

Any seat harness works fine, just worn under the skirt so it doesn't get interfered with. The tie-in point stick right out the top of the skirt.

I used to climb, and thus I love climbing shots! Well done thumb.gif I bought some new gear a few months back and have been meaning to get back into it, but I just haven't gotten around to it.

Really great stuff. I love how you used, in "Kelsey nears the top," the shadowed area as part of the composition..

Is the first on a merge, or did you just crop it like that?

Thanks, to you and everyone who's commented! :D The first is a pano of six or seven images, with a bit of editing to get the sky fixed. In the end I kinda lost the details in the mountains, but I think the rest of the composition makes up for it at least a little. Maybe I'll get it right next time. :D
