Does anyone have a separate contract for an e-session? Or does one have the e-session as part of the wedding contract? I have been looking at wedding contracts, but did not see anything for an e-session particularly. Can someone please help me? TIA

None of the engagement sessions I've done have ever been seperate from the wedding. I'd find it kind of strange if the couple knowingly asked you to do the E-Session and not the wedding....unless the results were unfavorable. headscratch.gif

Nothing like that...they like my photography, I have done other pics for them in the past. I just wanted to know if people do two separate contracts, or one for both. Simply a question.

I've done e-sessions separately for couples who were having a destination wedding and couldn't afford all the expenses of having me go along. When I've done engagements with a wedding package, I've had one contract that includes both shoots. I make sure my reservation fee is higher than what I would charge for just an engagement shoot so if the wedding is cancelled or postponed I have still been paid for the time I invested.

Thank you Caroline for your answer, that is how I thought it works.

That def. makes since Caroline....didn't even think of it that way. Sorry, didn't meant to ruffle feathers. Actually, I think MY feathers would get a bit ruffled if asked to do the engagement and not the wedding. :D I guess the best bet would be to determine well ahead of time if you were going to be asked to do just the E-Session and work from there forward. Good luck with it! thumb.gif
