When the Micro-Four-Thirds system was being developed it was speculated that it would be an almost ideal format to adapt other format lenses onto. With a very short flange-to-focal-plane distance it allows a lot of physical space in which to construct the adapters, and the potential to use the live view for focus, it seems the adapter's dream (well,... almost) camera.

One of the premier manufacturers of lens-to-camera adapters is Novoflex, and they have developed, or are developing, a plethora of adapters for the Micro-Four-Thirds system. While the adapters are not for everybody, for those with a lot of expensive older glass this may be an interesting alternative for controlled applications.

From their site:

"All adapters ensure a high-precise correction of the flange focal length difference and enable focussing to infinity.
Moreover, automatic exposure metering via working aperture / aperture priority is possible.
"

Olympus OM to MicroFourThirds
Leica M lenses to MicroFourThirds
Leica R lenses ""
Minolta MD ""
Canon FD
Nikon (appears to be the "F" mount and includes integrated aperture control ring, so should cover "G" versions.)
Sony / Minolta AF
Pentax K
M42
Contax/Yashica
T2

100% great. You could then have a small street-smart camera that will also double as an emergency backup for your full wildlife rig.
