One suggestion, next time you shoot surfers in harsh lighting, try dialing in -2/3 of EV compensation. It will help you to not blow out the highlights. which in surf shots is normally the foamy water
Even a bit of post processing would help all 3 shots, IMHO (bring down the brightness with shadow/highlight or use a duplicate layer - multiply blending mode)
