Many times we are given the choice of several backgrounds for our bird photographs. Which background we choose can change the overall "mood" or "feel" of our finished image.

Case in point.........

This Red Shouldered Hawk sitting on a fence post yesterday. By moving 3' to the right or left, or moving the camera up or down allowed me to use several different backgrounds from gray rain clouds, blue sky, or OOF pine woods.

    thats funny Jeff. Good point!rolleyes1.gif
Ira, I was thinking the same thing...'if you have the opportunity to adjust'
Those are all nice shots. I can't decide which background I like best. Whats your fav? The grey sky exposes so well, hard to decide.

"Aduusting position" is not that hard as long as you do it very s-l-o-w-l-y, don't look right at the bird, and don't move directly at him.

As to the background I like best, it woukd be the gray sky, or the green pine trees.
