Google Analytics and custom domains

I've got Google Analytics set up to track traffic at sskoutas.smugmug.com. I use the custom domain feature too, so my "advertised" URL is www.halfpintprints.com. Does anyone know if Google Analytics is capturing traffic that goes to the custom URL as well?

If no, how do I remedy as GA wants me to put code into the pages (that is already there)?

    I have two sets of code from GA running on my site, one for the custom domain and one for the smugmug sub domain. They coexists just fine. When you add the new custom domain to your GA account, Google will provide you with another script with a unique ID#.

    I recently got a custom domain, after having the site for a year and already using GA for several months on the standard smugmug sub domain, so I didn't want to lose the info from the first several months. FWIW, the numbers coming from the two sets of code are now almost identical, so I may be cutting one of them out in the future.

    Yeah it's fine to run two, but you don't really need to. They will turn out the same results. (they'll vary a couple hits, but that's about it)

    roger that... i was running both sets of codes. but i recently turned off my smugmug.com version. waste of bandwidth. results were the same.

    just make sure there's a 301 redirect to your custom domain so you don't lose link juice.

    I need to clarify something here. We do NOT recommend using a 301 redirect. The proper method is a CNAME and A record which it looks like you are using.

    GA - where to post?
    I didn't see this specific question anywhere else, so...

    I'm not a computer genius. I signed up for a G. Analytics account and I can't find where to post the code on my smugmug customization page.

    What to do??
