So my room mate and I did something we've been wanting to do for a long time. We got on the Max out in Beaverton, took it to the end out in Gresham, then back to where we got on. Just people watching at shooting.

Regarding actually photographing them, I do not ask. I don't like the interaction in my photos that you have once a subject knows you're photographing. They change how they act usually. I tend to try and make it look like I'm not photographing them, all the while keeping a watchful eye on their behavior. While they are not watching me, that is when I shoot.
Sometimes they see me take a photo of them, or what they think might have been them, and I just pass it off as I was not. Move to something close by them subtly as though I was shooting that and not them.

That all said, I prefer working obliquely--with a 50-135mm or 12-24mm on the street.
Sorry for hijacking your thread Candid Arts. I like number 5 by far. I too would bring it up from the bottom 20%, but I'd leave the left hand side alone as it adds context. Nice B&W tones.
