I always like it when the mailman brings me one of these

But they do start to pile up and I have donated several to our art teacher at the school to use for projects. Today I had a couple of ideas, first one was to use it as a bugle, but my daughter just looked at me and said, Dad you're weird, so on to the next idea: 50mm f/1.8

My daughter was the first victim since she called me weird and than she just sat there rolling her eyes at me till she saw the pics and thought they were way cool.

and again just cause she called me weird.

    Fun post!

I think both your daughter and your cat rolled their eyes at your creative use of these tubes rolleyes1.gif. But your truck seemed cool with it all!

I await creative responses to your post...

I see a new DGrin Challenge topic on the way . . . "show us your best shot taken with a SM tube."

Very, very clever! What happens if you cut holes in it to let some light in the tube? What if you put a bit of bubble wrap inside the tube and shot through that? Wait . . . I'm gettin' some ideas! Now, where'd I put my tube??? ne_nau.gif

Cool. You could also try taping one to a flash to make a snoot.

My son was giving me "you are weird" looks this morning--then I read your post and I decided his behavior must be addressed--I immediately ordered something from smugmug (my first time) and await the tube--um, I mean my photograph.

    I will be posting soonmwink.gif .

Funny idea for a post and now you've got my creative juices flowing.

FWIW--really like the cat photo, the one where he is laughing at you rolleyes1.gif .
