it was raining here in nyc on 9.11, I thought it was going to be a complete wash out, but at about 10:00pm it let up and I ran out to take a couple pics...

I got about 16 shots off before it started again, here are two of the ones I like...

I just notices a couple of water droplets on the lens which I can probably just clone out

and #2 isn't quite straight...

Any other thoughts?

Oh man, I forgot they do the lights ( I am in Indy so it's not so in your face here) and wasn't quite expecting what you posted...I was thinking they were going to be ceremony shots.

I like the first one over the second. I like the uniform blue, versus that orange cast to the clouds in the second.

The only neg that caught me was the crane on top of the building to the left...can you clone that out?

Thanks for the kind words all...

You know, I noticed that too about the crane...I'll try to do some work on it tonight and see if I can clone it out, then I'll repost....any other thoughts?

The crane doesn't bother me, personally. You get used to seeing such things in thriving cities! :D

I think I prefer the redder version more. Were the lights in the city changing or was this difference due to your processing?

Lovely skyline shot and I just adore the low clouds that made the lights so much more glowy.

I like the warmer version also. Long exposures do great things to water. I also like that the lights are blown out in the clouds.

Is it me or is it leaning to the right a little?

No, actually they were static, I just shot in Raw and processes each of them a bit different...would be cool if they did change though...thats a neat idea for a triple print...haha...

I agree, I got very luck...thank you for the complement!
