Fog

This is a shot of my neighborhood, Sharp Park in Pacifica, CA. Every summer, the fog burns off around noon then comes back in late afternoon. On the day I took this shot, there must have been a high pressure system that kept the fog low to the ground. You can't tell it from the picture, but the fog extends miles offshore.

I used a 2-stop graduated neutral density filter on the camera. I processed it in Lightroom and used 2 gradients - one to lighten the foreground and one to darken the sky.
