I like the tones and colors of the image, but it does look a little flat and over-sharpened to my eye.

I don't think I ever would've figured out that was a shoe

Actually it's 100% Clarity in Lightroom tat maybe makes it look over sharpened. I am assuming a shoe, possibly boot. It is definitely old. Found in out of the way woodsy area where I work.
