Best ceremony lens?

Which lens do you find that you use the most during the times where you can't have a flash?
Canon Gear: 5D MkII, 30D, 85 1.2 L, 70-200 2.8 IS L, 17-40mm f4 L, 50 1.4, 580EX, 2x 580EXII, Canon 1.4x TC, 300 f4 IS L, 100mm 2.8 Macro, 100-400 IS L
Other Gear: Olympus E-PL1, Pan 20 1.7, Fuji 3D Camera, Lensbaby 2.0, Tamron 28-75 2.8, Alien Bees lighting, CyberSyncs, Domke, HONL, FlipIt.

    While I've only done one, I was really satisfied with my 24-70 f/2.8.

    ....that is my 70-210 (or a newer 70-200, since the 70-210 is no longer made).....always has been.....probably always will be......flash or no.............

    I don't have a lot of experiences with multiple lenses, but so far I've loved every image that came out of my Nikon 85mm f/1.8
    Nikon D700, 50mm f/1.8, 85mm f/1.8, 24-70mm f/2.8, 60mm f/2.8, SB-900

    24-70 is absolutely great, too bad it's not IS (in case it's really dark)
    70-200/2.8 IS if you plan to shoot from some distance
    17-55/2.8 IS if you camera takes EF-S glass and you need/are able to get closer

    While I love my 50/1.4, the "zoom with your feet" rule is not entirely fair for B&G, since you really don't want to move too much: *any* movement draws attention, thus distracting the guests from the ceremony itself :-(

    This is my favorite lens for ceremonies, but I typically double sling it with my 17-50 2.8 Tammy.

    While I would love to try the 200 2.0, I cant afford it. I generally reach for my 35 2.0 and 85 1.2 when it gets dark (and my 5dII).

    70-200 f/2.8 IS - for close in shots - usually the best shots come from here.

    Depending on the church (or location) and what I want to accomplish:

    Canon FF or APS-H body (crop 1.3x):

    Canon EF 28-80mm, f2.8-f4L USM (primary)
    Canon EF 135mm, f2L USM
    Canon EF 50mm, f1.4 USM
    Canon EF 70-200mm, f2.8L USM


    Canon APS-C body (crop 1.6x):

    Canon EF-S 17-55mm, f2.8 IS USM (primary)
    Canon EF 135mm, f2L USM
    Canon EF 50mm, f1.4 USM
    Canon EF 70-200mm, f2.8L USM

    I love my 85 f1.8 but I make a point of NOT getting close enough to a couple to use it for ceremony closeups. I tell clients I won't get closer than 30 feet from them during the ceremony. I really like my 70-200 f4 IS, i wouldn't trade it for a 2.8 IS. I like the hand-holdability and balance of the lens. If I were to add another lens to my kit for ceremonies at any price it would be a 300 f2.8 IS or possible the Sigma 120-300 f2.8. With a crop body I can only tell you 6 locations I've worked that I would find the 300 really useful. National Cathedral DC, St. Matthews DC, US Naval Academy Chapel, Baltimore Basilica, and the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen on Charles Street.
