Another Smoky Mountain Bear(s)
Ric Grupe made the following comment in another thread and I couldn't agree more. I think back to some of the first images that I posted here and truly appreciate the comments that folks made about them ... and the advice that was given.
I also find that I may not take fewer shots now than I used to ... I just keep less. The amazing work of some of the folks here is motivation to improve at this hobby.
And then every once in a while you get an image that you are not 100% happy with .... but the content of the image is just too cool (yes I'm showing my age) to kick it to the curb.

I look at some of my older shots on SM and think...Sheesh, I just dumped about 4 gb of stuff that was better than anything I was saving back then. I don't want to tire of this hobby like I have most others, so I still take a lot of stinkers to stay motivated!:rolleyes

That would have the baby bear coming right out of the bottom left corner. Also, the leaf under the baby bear's chin is very bright. Bringing down the highlights would make that leaf stop fighting for the viewer's attention and wouldn't really hurt the bears (since they're dark/shadow-colors, tweaking the highlights does roughly nothing to them).
I tried that just now in iPhoto (with a couple other minor tweaks) and attached the result. I'll delete if you prefer, just wanted to show what I was saying since I probably didn't say it very clearly...I have a soft spot for bears so I love seeing pictures like the one you posted. Thank you for sharing it.

As your PP prowess advances you will find ways to enhance this shot. The possibilities are practically endless.
This is a special shot that should never be dumped...unless you can replace it...which is unlikely.:D
Glenn - I appreciate the comment
Ric - Agreed .... Thanks for your help, coaxing and guidance
