DSS #33 too small? too literal? too still?

Hi,
I never try these DSS things, but I was out taking surf pictures today and it was a nice sunny day and this guy was really good. But maybe I was too far away and maybe "movement" doesn't apply if the picture is taken so all the motion is stopped? Dumb?

    Ditto. I like the lack of blur in a clear motion, especially in a high-adreneline (sp?) case like this -- sort of like camera slo-mo.

    Thanks all of you all. I gotta say everyone's been much kinder than I expected.
    That purple blanket picture is pretty fabulous though, but maybe I'll put something in. before Monday.
