Changing a category to a subcategory

I decided to revamp my site and decided that a level of organization *above* the current level would be helpful. I currently have no subcategories set up, and basically I would like to create some new categories and turn the existing categories into subcategories of the new ones (is that clear?).

Is there any way to do this easily? I suppose I could just create the new categories, create new subcategories that duplicate the existing category names and move the galleries into the new subcatgeories.

This is how you would do it. I'm not aware of any other shortcuts.
