I got this shot of a loon on Frenchman Bay last August on a very rainy day. Personaly I like the shot but I am not sure if it works the way i think it does. I was trying to catch how some days are better than others to be a seabird your comments are appreciated thaks for looking.

Loons are one of my favorite birds. You can see one on my website if you like.

This is a super catch and I like the mood with the rain and the boat in the background but:

    1. get him out of the center
    2. It would help if we could see his eye (you can clone one in with a dot)

Thanks for responding and the hints, I think one of my main reservations was not being able to see the eye. I guess I need to learn more about some of the more advanced aspects of photoshop.headscratch.gif

Since you have the boat, loon and high shoreline having the loon somewhat centered is okay. If the loon is what you are trying to emphasize, then I go with Dan on the centering being a no-no.

I clone them in Ric with a clone tool, but either will work.
