Air Races
I attended the Reno Air Races yesterday and i have a few shots to share.
There are different categories of aircraft that race less than 100 feet of the ground around an 8 mile track marked out by towers. The unlimited and jet categories of aircraft are traveling at over 450 miles an hour. They have to complete 6 laps, the races start Wednesday and conclude with the finals on Sunday.
Herb Kelleher - Former Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of Southwest airlines was in attendance.
The opening ceremony had parachutes with Flags attached and a fly by of 4 F15's. Thanks Sknight
A spy plane fly by
And of course the Blue Angels.
Going back Sunday to get more.
Enjoy

Mild correction, those are F-15s, not F-16s. The 16s have a single vertical stabilizer.
Man I wish I was out there, that has to be great.
On a side note, James May (from Topgear) did a ride in one that's available via youtube. Well worth looking for it.
Better call tech support!
Sorry, couldn't resist. Good stuff though, I've always wanted to go to an airshow again, last time was about two decades ago...but this time with earplugs.
Thanks everyone......some more posted here
