FWIW, got an email from OnOne (ononesoftware.com), makers of Fractals and some other plug ins, there is a three day sale and you get any one plug in for $99 (some regular priced at $259). I've demo'd a few of these and I think Fractals is their signature product for lossless enlargements. I was very impressed by their Mask Pro which makes easy the process of removing backgrounds, even through transparent objects (bubbles, bride's vail, etc). Here is the link for the discounts:

Thanks for the info. I'd be interested to hear from anyone who uses the plug in suite on a regular basis. Do you like it? Is is worth the $$? I've downloaded the demo a few times and some of the effects are nice, just didn't think I would use it all that much.

I also noticed (after downloading) that the s/w doesn't work with CS4-64bit. Their return path was effortless -- sent email and the refund happened the next day.

Sorry. Yes. s/w=software, h/w=hardware. Shouldn't have used non-photographic jargon. My bad.
