Do Pixel size and/or Sensor size matter?

I stumbled across this interesting two part series on the merits or lack thereof of differing pixel sizes, sensor sizes and the impact that it may or may not have on Image Quality.

Some very interesting tidbits of information, but in all honesty, a ton of technical information that was WAY over my head...but a good read all the same.

Note the article is from 2006 so some of the cameras are a bit out of date.

That's pretty much the general consensus. Although it's nice that somebody attempted to quantify it.

good stuff..I hadn't considered higher dynamic range for full frames at higher iso as a benefit before. It shows almost 2 full stops more dynamic range at iso 800 between D200 mand 1dmark3...pretty significant.
