I've got one of the cheaper templates and for now, it works. I use digilabs for a better online gallery with the shopping cart, but the better (more expensive template) bludomain sites have the shopping carts, blogs, whatever.

Each has it's place....on the marketing side I use Bludomain...for housing photos and selling with unlimited private galleries for clients....Smuggy....best of both worlds. I use the "Charlie" template...have a look.

I really like your work Swartzy! And your site!

I'm at the beginning of the journey and still such a noob, but I see a little improvement (usually!) after each shoot. So hopefully it won't take too many years before I feel like I can rub elbows.

I'll have to get back to you on that one though.

I'm with Swartzy, I use smugmug for all the galleries & selling my pics, but go with somebody else fro the whole website design part.

Have a look at www.photobiz.com, they have an awesome collection of modern templates, and keep adding new ones every couple of months. Everything is running smoothly. I used to do my own flash websites, but after a couple of years I decided it's too much work and enjoy to just upload my pics and change templates / colors / text by mouse-click

You may want to check for performance problems on your site. I accessed it in both IE7 and Firefox, and honestly the only reason I waited for the site to open was that I was curious to see your site. The first page took a long time to open, and the second - in another browser window no less - took even longer.

Not to hi-jack the thread but have to admit I found these guys wayyyyyy back when.....when I first joined here and it was a visit to YOUR site that led me in their direction. Fantastic customer service!

I use smugmug still for client galleries, but I decided to outsource for hosting as well. I use creativemotiondesign.com for my flash website

I use bludomain (I forget which template I chose) for marketing and that jazz and smug for proofing and storage. I want to go pro smug... I just need the $$$ first.

But I am probably use the same service Angie uses. I like the idea of being able to change templates later on, instead of being stuck with one. (at least that is what I remember reading...)

To my knowledge there are no issues but every once in awhile some how there's a hickup. Never had a client mention this....other than once when they were updating servers.
