Just landed a paid contributer position at my local newspaper shooting college football games and local concerts and events. This is a pretty big step for me in the photog business.

    Thanks, actually I was reading the paper earlier in the week, saw an ad looking for photog, reposnded gave him my website and told him to call me back if he was interested. Originally the job was to shoot concerts and events. I told him that I'd be glad to just to get my foot in the door so that I could work my way up to sports photog. He then told me that it's hard to get credentials after the season starts then he remembered that I already have season credentials and he asked if I would be willing to shoot some for them. I jumped at it. Then when I told him I've already got my credential to the away game at Oklahoma State, he smiled from ear to ear. So, it didn't start as sports, but I sure turned the gas up on it! Haha
