Honeymoon - Part 1 - College Fjord
It has been quite a busy 18 months for me.
Last July, I got married, went on a honeymoon (Alaskan Cruise and drive across country), moved from NYC to Williamsburg VA. Then I unfortunately had a death in the family which caused me to miss the Shoot Out at the last minute.
I realized I never shared photos from my honeymoon and would like to do so now. I'll break them up into a number of threads over the next few weeks.
Our Alaskan cruise on the Island Princess left from Whittier, Alaska. The first stop was College Fjord.
We landed in Anchorage around 3AM and slept for about 5 hours. We then traveled by train from Alaska to Whittier. This was in July. Not surprising, it was not very warm-maybe 55 degrees or so. Luckily, there were openings between the cars we could hang out from and take photos.
We then got on the ship (with our complimentary glass of champagne and promptly took a nap). Here are some scenes from the ship taken throughout the week:
The next day, we headed to College Fjord (and arrived around 5AM....another early morning). Each of the tidewater glaciers are named after a different Ivy League school (and some all-woman's colleges) after the scientists who "discovered" the area.
I have not done any PP at all on these. C+C welcome.
Next up is Glacier Bay National Park and Skagway.
